I love using the air fryer to cook up Brussels sprouts. Boiling is fine, but boring. Baking is good, but loooong. Air frying? You end up with sweetly caramelized sprouts that cook up in a fraction of time compared to other methods.
Preparation notes
First up you will want to halve or quarter your raw sprouts. In the picture above you will see I cut the Brussels into halves. This results in an exterior that is caramelized, but an interior still with plenty of bit and texture. If you quarter the Brussels they will cook a little faster and not have quite so much bite.
Next, add your chopped sprouts to a Tupperware box or plastic bag. Add a little vegetable oil and salt, then toss/shake to cover well.
With your sprouts prepped throw then into the preheated air fryer. I like to also add any loose leaves that fall from the sprouts. These typically almost carbonize, but I love how the almost burnt/sweetness of the sprouts shines through!
