Air fried Italian meatballs
|

Hot to cook meatballs in an air fryer

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400F
  2. Cook for 10-12 minutes at 400F, shaking meatballs every four minutes.

This recipe is based of using the COSORI Air Fryer (5.8QT model, affiliate link).

Depending on the size of your meatballs you might find they take from 10 (smaller) to 12 (just under golf ball size) minutes to cook through and reach the magic 160F mark required from ground beef.

Air fried meatballs retain plenty of juiciness while also developing a great char and crisp on the exterior. This method of cooking meatballs would be great for a meatball sandwich, adding little smoky flavor and texture.

For meatball seasonings I like to keep things fairly simple and use no extra filler, just beef and the following seasonings:

  • salt
  • chilli flakes
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • dried basil
Please ensure your food is always thoroughly cooked. We recommend investing in a reliable kitchen thermometer. Check out the affordable selection on Amazon - there's something at every price point.
