How to air fry Steak-umm Sliced Steaks

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400F
  2. Place frozen steak-umm slices in fryer and cook for 1 minute
  3. This will essentially defrost the slices, now you can pick them up with tongs and fold into small heaps of steak
  4. Cook for a further 1-3 minutes for required temperature

We used the COSORI to air fry this (affiliate link, we get a fee), always check your food with a good kitchen thermometer.

These thin slices of steak cook up super fast in the fryer and can be given a nice crisp with the cooking method. You’ll need to follow the two step method as above – the first step ostensibly defrosting the slices, where you can then crumple into small piles of steak for cooking through. I found it took a total of four minutes to reach the magic 160F mark (required of ground beef).

  1. I love Steak Umms and I hate the mess from oil splatters and cleaning frying pans. On a whim I searched for air fryer Steak Umms, definitely not expecting to find a recipe. Lo and behold, your recipe guide appeared. Amazing! I air fried two steak servings and they tasted exactly the same as if they were stovetopped fried. Your advice to watch them closely is the key because once defrosted it takes no time for the steaks to crisp up. I’m not one to post comments but I have to thank you for air frying out of the box.
