How to cook Bar S Sliced Bacon in an air fryer

Air fried Bar S Sliced Bacon

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400F
  2. Cook for 7 minutes at 400F, turning bacon once at 3 minute mark

This recipe is based of using the COSORI Air Fryer (5.8QT model, affiliate link).

I’ve been oven baking my bacon for as long as I can recall. Compard to pan frying there’s less mess, less grease and more crisp. Air fried bacon takes that a step forward.

Unlike oven baking where the bacon rests in the rendered bacon fat while cooking – in the air fryer, the fat falls away to the pan below. As it’s not sitting in all that fat while cooking it crisps up much faster than the oven, and I’d wage the result is more healthy too!

Cooking notes

The above recipe results in very crisp bacon with a dry finish. If you want a slightly less extremely crisp result, aim for 5-6 minutes cooking time. As ever, always check your food’s temperature for digging in. Bar S recommend a temp of 165F for their bacon slices.

We recommend investing in a kitchen thermometer like the Habor Meat Thermometer to ensure your food is thoroughly cooked. It's quick, under twenty bucks and it's waterproof - and hey - we get a small referral fee for any purchases.

This guide is presented as a reference only. Many variables may influence your own cooking times. If in doubt contact your air fryer or product manufacturer. Please ensure your food is thoroughly cooked before consuming. See here for more info on using our reciopes.
