While seven minutes is certainly enough to give these Tater Tots that golden-yellow finish, the interior is still a little on the softer side. You need to cook these for twice as long at a minimum. Try 15 – 17 minutes for properly cooked mini tots.
Hi Pierre. Certainly there are many factors that influence cooking time. For the recipes on the site I am using the Cosori 5.8QT unit and pre-heating for five minutes. From there I am also only cooking a small single layer of the food in question. For sure, different fryers can require different timings – and if you don’t preheat or add more food to your fryer – that increases time as well.
I found 8 minutes was too short for a single layer, they were moist soggy. Next time I’m trying 12 minutes. Corsi 5.8
