How to cook chicken legs in the air fryer
- Preheat air fryer to 400F
- Cook prepared legs (see below) for 25 minutes
- Turn legs once during cooking
Cooking time on this one can be tricky. To be frank a lot depends on the size of your chicken legs or drumsticks. I’ve had legs that still needed plenty more cooking as they were so huge. Always check check check your temps (chicken is 165F or higher remember) and always be safe!

Cooking notes
In the recipe above I coated the legs with a dusting of garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper. That’s a great basic rub (I just sprinkle more than rub) that goes really well with the chicken and crisps up great.
You can also do a bunch of other preparations such as an overnight marinade in a yogurt based sauce for tandoori style perhaps.
