The above recipe was for a pre-prepared Kroger brand pork tenderloin that was marinated with a black pepper rub. This tenderloin weighed in at about one pound. Check out that awesome crisp, and charred exterior! Check out the full pork tenderloin air fryer instructions below.

Air fryer pork tenderloin cooking notes

As noted above, there can be some variance in the precise cooking time for pork tenderloin in the air fryer. It depends on how the tenderloin is prepped, your fryer and the size of the pork. Overall I would expect most typical pork tenderloins you see in the store (Kroger, Hormel etc) to cook in around 20-30 minutes at 400F. As ever use a thermometer to ensure your pork is at temp (see our recommendation below). The USDA recommends pork reaches 145F degrees or higher.

The results of air fryer pork tenderloin are absolutely worth it though. I mean just check out the fabulous exterior on that tenderloin pictured above. The high heat crisps up the outside and the inside will remain amazingly juicy, not dried out like the oven.

Of course you might want to marinate or rub your own tenderloin from scratch, and that is more than fine too. My advice for all pork tenderloins is to cook at 400F, turn at 10 minutes, turn again at 20 minutes and then check how far you are off that magic 145 number.
