How to reheat a turkey leg using an air fryer

  1. Preheat air fryer to 350F
  2. Cook for fifteen minutes turning two or three times

We used the COSORI to air fry this (affiliate link, we get a fee), always check your food with a good kitchen thermometer.

This recipe is for leftover cooked turkey legs, presuming you have any left after roasting the bird and digging in! I love the air fryer for reheating the legs, it crisps the skin up to a cracklingly beautiful finish. It also brings that dark meat back to a juicy lusciousness.

I prefer 350F degrees here to slowly reheat, and ultimately crisp. I fear higher temperatures might overly cook the skin, leading to smoking and burning, and the dreaded dry turkey.

In the above picture the leg comes form a 12lb bird. If you’re reheating legs from a larger turkey you might want to slightly adjust the timing upward.

Please ensure your food is always thoroughly cooked. We recommend investing in a reliable kitchen thermometer. Check out the affordable selection on Amazon - there's something at every price point.

  1. I love using my air fryer.
I also have an air fryer mode on my oven. Can I use it the same way I do my smaller air fryer? Are the temperatures the same?

  2. It seems to me that an air fryer is not the best method to reheat a cooked turkey leg. Fifteen minutes, turning a few times? I’ll eat it cold yum or nuke it at 50% power wrapped in a paper towel.
