How to roast jalapeños in an air fryer
We love this quick, simple and mess free technique for adding extra flavor to dishes.
- Preheat air fryer
- When ready, set temperature to 400F
- Clean jalapeños, ensure they’re completely dry if you rinse them
- Cook for 10 minutes, shake every 3 minutes to ensure jalapeños evenly roast

No oil needed here, cook your peppers dry for best results. We like ours at the 10 minute mark, slightly charred and wilted. You could of course got a little further. I wouldn’t recommend going too much further, as you’d risk the peppers starting to burn and make an eye-wateringly-spicy smoke!
We love them as a simple side dish, the high temperature roasting brings out extra sweetness in the peppers; but any general recipe/dish that calls for jalapeños would benefit from the added sweet/smoky profile of roasting them first.
