How to cook Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips in an air fryer
This is one of the few products we’ve seen that has air fryer instructions right on the bag! This is what Tyson recommend for their chicken strips:
- Preheat air fryer to 360F
- Cook for 11-12 minutes at 360F
We wondered if we would improve on that, either making for crisper chicken or a faster cooking time. We think we managed to improve slightly on both with the following approach. This resulted in noticeably crisper chicken than the packaging directions provided:
- Preheat air fryer to 400F
- Cook for ten minutes at 400F
We use COSORI brand air fryers to make our recipes, always check your food with a good kitchen thermometer. (These are affiliate links, we get a fee from sales)
The air fryer is definitely our preferred way to cook these chicken strips which end up with a fabulous crunch out of the fryer. See the full packaging on our sister site here.

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for!
Great to hear this one worked out for you 🙂
I cooked 4 pcs at 11 minutes at 360, any longer they would have been petrified, try resorting half way and check in 3-4 minutes
What model air fryer did you use Bob?
Hi, Stuart. I have read reviews of Tyson products on Walmart and feel the product is quite bad. How do you feel about this product?
