How to cook Gorton’s Beer Battered Whole Fillets in an air fryer

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400F
  2. Cook for 10 minutes at 400F, shake half way through cooking

This recipe is based of using the COSORI Air Fryer (5.8QT model, affiliate link).

The air fryer makes for the perfect way to cook these whole fish fillets from Gorton’s. The hot circulating air makes the exterior shell fabulously crunchy; not to mention minimizing that mushy separating later between fish and coating that’s all too common in this type of frozen product.

  1. These Gorton Beer Batter Filets taste sooooooooo much better in the air fryer, compared to a conventional oven. And it’s faster too.

    1. I haven’t used that model so can’t say for sure Garth. Mostly, the recipes on the site should be portable to different models though. I’d say go ahead and cook a single piece of the fish in your air fryer as a test, and make sure you have a food safe thermometer to hand. Check the fish with the thermometer and take it from there. You might find you want to cook a little longer, or shave a min or two off perhaps, but I’d think the recipe gets in you the vague ballpark – where you can then tweak.
