Using an air fryer to cook these veggie tots is a night and day experience. Out of the oven, they’re inevitable a mushy affair. Hot from the fryer they have a fabulous exterior crisp while retaining that interior softness.

We thing they make a perfect base for a healthy spin on totchos! Pictured here we’re using them as a crunchy starter for Mexican shredded cheese, MorningStar Farms crumblers, home made pico de gallo, home made guac and a sprinkling of pepitas.

    1. I’ve updated the post to reflect the different types of air fryers, the main point is to turn the tots during cooking once so they cook evenly.
