Every chicken nugget is a little different, but most follow the same simple process. The following is our basic guide that should cook pretty much every chicken nugget. You might need to shave a minute or two off, or add a couple on for particularly larger or small pieces. Remember to always check the temperature before eating!

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 8 minutes
Total Time 13 minutes

Instructions

    1. Preheat air fryer to 400F
    2. Add nuggets in a single layer to air fryer
    3. Cook for eight minutes at 400F
    4. Turn nuggets once during cooking

Tips for air frying frozen chicken nuggets

Check your temperatures. Remember every nugget and every air fryer is slightly differenm the recupe above is a starting point. Ensure your food reaches 165F before eating. Scroll to the bottom of the page for our recommended thermometer.

No oil required. Chicken nuggets usually have plenty of oil locked in their coating so there's no need to oil or spray them before adding to the air fryer.

Cook from frozen. There's no need to defrost your chicken before cooking. Cook the nuggets directly out of the freezer.

Don't overcrowd. Don't fill your air fryer to the brim. For the best results add chicken nuggets to your aur fryer in a single layer with space between each. This increases air flow around the chicken and ensures even, quick cooking. The more you crowd your basket, the more your cook time will increase, and crispiness will decrease.

  1. I was surprised what all that can be made in the air fryer I was especially surprised when I found i could make soft boiled eggs or poached egg. I love my air fryer and instant pot. I loved my air fryer so much that I got another one that has 2 sies so I can cook different things even end cooking at the same time even though each has a different time. They are great.
